⚠️ Keep coil ends capped until the moment of connection
ACR copper coil is sealed at manufacture to exclude moisture. Once the end caps are removed, atmospheric moisture enters immediately — particularly in Mombasa’s coastal humidity where moisture ingress is rapid. Cap open pipe ends between each work step. Never leave a cut pipe end open overnight. The few seconds saved by not replacing caps are not worth the moisture contamination that reaches the compressor and expansion valve through an open refrigerant circuit.

How much copper coil is needed for a standard 1.5-ton split AC installation in Kenya?
