How to Order & Ship
AC Spare Parts from Dubai
to Egypt
Step-by-Step Guide for Egyptian Importers & Wholesale Dealers
Sea Freight · Air Freight · Documents · Customs · Payment · Consolidation
Every Egyptian HVAC spare parts dealer, wholesale importer and refrigeration contractor who has considered ordering from Dubai faces the same set of questions: How does the process work? What documents will I receive? How long does shipping take? Can I order refrigerant gas alongside compressors? What happens at Egyptian Customs? How do I pay?
This guide answers every question — in plain terms, based on 20 years of exporting HVAC products from Dubai to Egypt. Al Faisal A/C Spare Parts Trading LLC has been shipping compressors, refrigerant gas, copper pipe and spare parts to Egyptian buyers from Jebel Ali Port since 2005. The process is straightforward once you understand it.
Why Egyptian Dealers Import from Dubai — The Real Advantages
Genuine Products — No Counterfeit Risk
Egypt’s local HVAC spare parts market has a serious counterfeit problem — substandard capacitors, incorrect-grade refrigerant, unbranded compressors. Dubai-sourced products from Al Faisal come with full manufacturer documentation: Certificate of Origin, MSDS, batch numbers. When you order Westron® R410A from Al Faisal, you receive gas manufactured under our own brand — not repackaged product from an unknown source.
800+ Products — One Supplier
43+ T3-rated compressors. 42 refrigerant gas products. 49 copper coil products. 57 fan motors. 92+ HVAC spare parts. A complete HVAC restocking order — compressors, gas, copper, capacitors, remotes, tools — in a single shipment from one supplier with one set of documents. Egyptian dealers currently managing three or four local suppliers can consolidate to one Dubai relationship.
Own Brand — Direct from Manufacturer
Al Faisal manufactures Westron® refrigerants and compressors in the UAE and distributes Maxron® Made in Korea. Buying Westron® or Maxron® from Al Faisal means buying direct from the brand owner — zero intermediary markup, full traceability from manufacturing batch to cylinder, and the ability to verify authenticity through Al Faisal directly.
Documentation Quality
Dubai Chamber of Commerce Certificates of Origin carry strong weight at Egyptian Customs. Al Faisal’s export documentation is prepared correctly and completely — Egyptian customs clearance agents who regularly handle Al Faisal shipments report consistent, clean documentation. We have 20 years of experience getting products through Egyptian Customs without issues.
The Al Faisal Order Process — 7 Steps from Enquiry to Delivery
Contact via WhatsApp — Send Your Product List
WhatsApp +971 55 874 7919 is the fastest and most effective way to start an order. Send a list of what you need — gas types and quantities (e.g. “50 cylinders Westron® R410A”), compressor models if known (or just the brand and capacity), copper pipe sizes, spare parts. A photo of a nameplate is better than a description. Our export team is available Monday to Saturday 8AM–8PM Dubai time (GMT+4) and Sunday 12PM–6PM.
Receive Price List, Availability & Freight Estimate
We respond with current wholesale pricing, stock availability and an indicative sea freight estimate to Alexandria or Port Said — usually the same business day. For compressor cross-references (Samsung, Hitachi, other brands where you give us the model number), we confirm the compatible T3-rated unit and its specifications. No commitment required at this stage.
Confirm Order & Agree Payment Terms
Once you confirm the order, we agree payment terms. New customers pay in advance via international wire transfer (TT/SWIFT) or through an exchange office with UAE correspondent relationship. Established repeat customers may be offered credit terms. We will provide our UAE bank details and issue a Pro Forma Invoice for the exact order amount.
Al Faisal Prepares Goods & Documentation
Once payment is confirmed, we pick, pack and prepare your complete shipment. For refrigerant gas, we prepare all IMDG dangerous goods documentation — Declaration, MSDS, UN number labelling, packaging compliance. The Dubai Chamber Certificate of Origin is processed. All documents are prepared in English; Arabic translations are available on request.
Shipment Dispatched from Jebel Ali or Dubai Airport
Sea freight consolidations depart from Jebel Ali Port weekly. Air freight to Cairo International can be arranged on shorter notice. We send you the Bill of Lading (sea) or Air Waybill (air) along with all supporting documents as soon as the shipment is confirmed with the freight forwarder.
Transit — 7–10 Days (Sea) or 24–48 Hours (Air)
Sea freight from Jebel Ali to Alexandria or Port Said takes 7–10 days. Air freight Dubai to Cairo International takes 24–48 hours. We track the shipment and keep you informed of the vessel name, voyage number and estimated arrival date so your Egyptian customs clearance agent can prepare in advance.
Egyptian Customs Clearance — Your Agent, Our Documents
Egyptian customs clearance is handled by your Egyptian freight agent or customs broker using the documents we provide. Al Faisal is not involved in Egyptian customs clearance — this is the importer’s responsibility. Our documents are consistently prepared to the correct standard so your customs agent has everything needed. For R22 imports, your agent will need your EEAA import permit alongside our documents.
Sea Freight — Jebel Ali to Egypt (The Primary Route)
Sea freight is the right choice for the overwhelming majority of Al Faisal orders to Egypt — it handles all product types including refrigerant gas, offers the best per-unit cost, and runs on a reliable weekly schedule.
Route & Ports
Jebel Ali Port, Dubai (departure) → Alexandria Dekheila Port or Port Said (arrival). Both Egyptian ports accept LCL and FCL consolidated cargo from Jebel Ali weekly. Alexandria is the better port for Upper Egypt and Cairo-based importers; Port Said suits Canal Zone, Sinai and nearby governorates.
Transit Time & Frequency
Transit: 7–10 days from Jebel Ali to Alexandria or Port Said. Departures: weekly. Cut-off for cargo booking is typically 2–3 days before sailing. Plan orders with a 14–21 day lead time from enquiry to arrival at the Egyptian port — this covers payment, preparation, booking and transit.
LCL vs FCL
LCL (Less than Container Load) — you pay for the space your cargo occupies in a shared container. Most Al Faisal Egyptian orders are LCL, typically 0.5–5 CBM. Cost-effective from approximately 0.5 CBM. FCL (Full Container Load) — for very large orders (20ft or 40ft container). Better per-CBM rate at high volumes.
Dangerous Goods Handling
Refrigerant gas cylinders are IMDG Class 2 compressed gases. Al Faisal handles all DG compliance as standard: correct packaging, UN number labelling, Dangerous Goods Declaration, MSDS. R32 is Class 2.1 (flammable). R410A, R22, R134a, R404A are Class 2.2 (non-flammable). All handled on the same weekly sea freight consolidation alongside general cargo (compressors, copper, parts).
💡 The consolidation advantage: The most cost-efficient Egyptian orders combine everything in one LCL shipment — compressors (general cargo), refrigerant gas (Class 2 DG), copper pipe (general cargo), and spare parts (general cargo). Al Faisal’s freight team coordinates the packaging so DG and general cargo are correctly separated within the container according to IMO compatibility rules. One shipment, one set of freight charges, one customs clearance.
Air Freight — Dubai to Cairo (Urgent Orders)
Route & Transit
Dubai International Airport to Cairo International Airport. Transit: 24–48 hours from dispatch. Cost-effective for urgent small orders where a system-down situation makes the air freight premium acceptable — a hotel with a failed commercial chiller, a supermarket cold room failure, a manufacturing facility with a broken HVAC system.
What Can Go by Air
All HVAC spare parts that are not dangerous goods can travel by air: compressors, capacitors, PCB boards, remotes, fan motors, copper pipe and coil, thermostats, contactors, filter driers, insulation, tools. These are all classified as general cargo — no special permits or restrictions for air freight.
What CANNOT Go by Air
Refrigerant gas cylinders (R22, R32, R410A, R134a, R404A etc.) cannot be shipped by commercial air freight as cargo. They are classified as IATA dangerous goods and are restricted from cargo holds. Only very small consumer-size cans (typically under 1KG) may qualify under specific IATA exemptions. Plan all gas orders on sea freight schedules.
Split Shipment Strategy
For urgent orders that include both gas and spare parts: air freight the compressors and spare parts to Cairo immediately for the critical repair, and send the refrigerant gas cylinders on the next weekly sea freight sailing. The gas arrives 7–10 days later but the system can often be partially restored with the air-freighted parts first.

HS Codes for Egyptian Customs — Reference Guide
Egyptian Customs classifies imported goods by Harmonized System (HS) codes. Your customs clearance agent will confirm the exact codes, but the following are the standard classifications for Al Faisal products:
AC Compressors
HS 8414.30 — Rotary compressors for AC (GMCC, Invotech, LG, Westron®, Sigma)
HS 8414.20 — Reciprocating compressors (Tecumseh, Kulthorn — window AC)
Refrigerant Gas
HS 2903.39 — Hydrofluorocarbons (R22, R32, R410A, R134a, R404A etc.)
Note: R22 (HCFC) requires EEAA import permit
Copper Pipe & Coil
HS 7411.10 — Copper tubes and pipes (NWM, Sigma, Westron®, Maksal, Mueller)
Capacitors
HS 8532.22 — Aluminium electrolytic capacitors
HS 8532.23 — Tantalum capacitors (Skycap, Sigma)
Fan Motors
HS 8501.10 — Motors of output not exceeding 37.5W (small fan motors)
HS 8501.40 — AC single-phase motors (Sigma universal motor)
HVAC Spare Parts
HS 8415.90 — Parts for AC machines
HS 8414.90 — Parts for compressors / pumps
HS codes vary by specific component — confirm with your customs agent
⚠️ R22 (HCFC-22) Import Permit: R22 refrigerant imports into Egypt require a valid EEAA (Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency) import permit and quota allocation under Egypt’s Montreal Protocol obligations. This permit is the Egyptian importer’s responsibility — Al Faisal does not apply for Egyptian import permits. We provide all necessary documentation from the UAE side (Certificate of Origin, MSDS, DG Declaration) to support your EEAA and Customs clearance. Ensure your EEAA permit is current before placing any R22 order.
Payment — How Egyptian Importers Pay Al Faisal
International Wire Transfer (TT/SWIFT)
Bank-to-bank transfer to Al Faisal’s UAE bank account. The most common payment method for Egyptian wholesale importers. We provide full banking details (bank name, account number, IBAN, SWIFT/BIC) on the Pro Forma Invoice. Most Egyptian banks can process international transfers to UAE accounts. Transfer charges are typically the sender’s responsibility.
Exchange Office Transfer
Egyptian money exchange offices with UAE correspondent relationships can transfer funds to Dubai. This method is commonly used by Egyptian traders and is often faster and cheaper than formal bank transfer. Confirm with your local exchange office that they have a UAE correspondent before using this method.
New vs Established Customers
New customers pay 100% advance before we prepare the shipment. This is standard for all new B2B export relationships and protects both parties. Established repeat customers with a proven order history may be offered deferred payment terms — discuss this with our export team after your second or third order.
Pricing — Wholesale, Not Retail
Al Faisal sells wholesale only — we do not sell at retail prices. Pricing is volume-dependent and quoted per order. We do not publish a fixed price list because prices change with market conditions, freight costs and order volumes. Contact us via WhatsApp with your order and we respond with a current wholesale price quotation the same business day.
Minimum Order Size & The Consolidation Advantage
There is no fixed minimum unit count for an Al Faisal Egypt export order. LCL sea freight becomes cost-effective from approximately 0.5 CBM. Most Egyptian wholesale orders naturally reach this volume when combining compressors, gas cylinders, copper pipe and spare parts. A typical mixed LCL order might include: 10–20 compressors, 20–50 gas cylinders, 5–10 coils of copper pipe and an assortment of spare parts — this is usually 1–3 CBM and consolidates efficiently.
| Order Type | Approximate CBM | Recommended Route | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small urgent spare parts (no gas) | < 0.2 CBM | Air freight | System-down emergency. 24–48h transit. |
| Small stock replenishment | 0.5–1 CBM | LCL sea freight | Mix of spare parts + gas. Weekly sailing. |
| Regular monthly order | 1–5 CBM | LCL sea freight | Compressors + gas + copper + parts. Best per-unit cost. |
| Large quarterly stock order | 5–25+ CBM | FCL sea freight | Full container. Best price-per-CBM. 20ft or 40ft. |

Frequently Asked Questions — Ordering & Shipping to Egypt
How long does it take from placing an order to receiving goods in Egypt?
The total lead time is typically 14–21 days from order confirmation to goods arriving at Alexandria or Port Said. This breaks down as: 1–3 days for payment processing and order preparation, up to 3 days for cargo booking cut-off before the next weekly sailing, and 7–10 days sea transit. For urgent orders via air freight (compressors and spare parts only — no gas), transit is 24–48 hours but the per-unit cost is significantly higher. We provide estimated arrival dates as soon as the shipment is confirmed with the freight forwarder.
Can I combine refrigerant gas cylinders and compressors in the same shipment?
Yes — this is exactly how most Egyptian importers order from Al Faisal. Refrigerant gas cylinders (Class 2 dangerous goods) and general cargo (compressors, copper pipe, spare parts) can travel together in the same LCL sea freight container, subject to IMO compatibility rules for hazardous materials. Al Faisal’s freight team handles all DG compliance including correct packaging, labelling, stowage and documentation. The combined shipment is more cost-efficient than separate orders.
Do I need to have my own freight forwarder in Egypt?
Yes. Al Faisal handles the export side — packaging, documentation, freight booking from Jebel Ali. You need a freight forwarder or customs broker in Egypt to receive the shipment at Alexandria or Port Said and clear it through Egyptian Customs. Most experienced Egyptian HVAC importers already have an established relationship with an Egyptian customs clearance agent. If you are new to importing, your freight forwarder can recommend a customs agent at the Egyptian port.
What is the minimum order to justify sea freight from Dubai to Egypt?
LCL sea freight becomes cost-effective from approximately 0.5 CBM. For context, 10 compressors plus 20 refrigerant cylinders plus 5 coils of copper pipe is typically around 1–2 CBM — well above the minimum. The freight cost per unit drops significantly as order volume increases, which is why Egyptian importers typically make monthly or quarterly consolidated orders rather than frequent small orders. Contact us with your list and we will provide both the product pricing and an indicative freight cost so you can calculate the total landed cost in Egypt.
Can I visit Al Faisal’s shop in Dubai before placing a large order?
Yes. Our showroom is at Shop No S03B, Al Wasl Building R407, Street 23, Al Maktoum Hospital Road, Deira – Al Rigga, Dubai. Open Monday to Saturday 8AM–8PM, Sunday 12PM–6PM. Egyptian business owners who visit Dubai regularly — for wholesale buying trips, trade visits or personal travel — are welcome to visit the showroom, see products, discuss pricing and establish a direct relationship with our export team. We recommend contacting us via WhatsApp before visiting to confirm product availability and book a convenient time.
What happens if goods arrive damaged at the Egyptian port?
All Al Faisal shipments are carefully packed for sea or air transit. In the event of damage, the correct procedure is to note the damage on the delivery receipt at the Egyptian port before accepting the goods, photograph the damage immediately, and notify Al Faisal via WhatsApp with photographs within 24 hours of receipt. Claims must be documented at the time of receipt — damage claims cannot be processed after goods have been accepted without noting damage on the delivery receipt. We work with our freight partners to resolve legitimate damage claims promptly.
