About Al Faisal & Our Nigeria Operation
Who is Al Faisal and where are you located?
Al Faisal A/C Spare Parts Trading LLC is a licensed HVAC spare parts trading company established in 2005. We operate from a permanent physical shop at Shop No S03B, Al Wasl Building R407, Street 23, Al Maktoum Hospital Road, Deira – Al Rigga, Dubai, UAE. We are not an online-only business or a broker — we are a physical trading company with stock on the shelf, experienced staff, and a UAE trade licence. We have been exporting to Nigeria since our founding year.
How long has Al Faisal been supplying Nigeria?
Al Faisal has been exporting HVAC spare parts to Nigeria since 2005 — over two decades of continuous Nigeria export activity. Nigeria is not a secondary market we entered recently. It is one of the markets this business was built around from the beginning. We understand Apapa port, Onne port, Lagos airport, Nigerian customs documentation requirements, and the specific technical needs of the Nigerian HVAC market better than almost any other Dubai supplier.
Are you a manufacturer, distributor, or trader?
Al Faisal is all three depending on the product category. We are the brand owner and manufacturer of Westron® refrigerants (UAE origin) and Maxron® refrigerants (Made in Korea) — meaning you buy these brands directly from the source with no intermediary. For compressors (GMCC, Invotech, Danfoss, Tecumseh, Kulthorn), copper coils (NWM, Sigma), and capacitors (Skycap), we are an authorised distributor and stockist sourcing directly from the manufacturers. For all other spare parts, we are a specialist HVAC trader with established supplier relationships built over twenty years.
Does Al Faisal supply other African countries besides Nigeria?
Yes — Al Faisal exports to customers across sub-Saharan Africa including Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Cameroon, Senegal, South Africa, and more. Nigeria is our largest African market but the Africa Export Desk serves the entire continent. Contact us on WhatsApp regardless of your country — we will handle your enquiry with the same priority.
Can I visit Al Faisal’s shop when I am in Dubai?
Absolutely. Nigerian buyers visiting Dubai on sourcing trips are always welcome at our shop. Our Deira location is 5 minutes walk from Al Rigga Metro Station (Red Line) and 10–15 minutes by taxi from Dubai International Airport. WhatsApp us before you arrive so we can prepare stock availability and pricing and ensure someone is available to attend to you personally. Our shop is in the same Deira trading district that Nigerian buyers already visit for textiles, electronics, and consumer goods.
Products, Genuineness & Quality
Are the products Al Faisal supplies genuine — not counterfeit?
Yes — without exception. Al Faisal sources every product from manufacturers and authorised distributors under UAE commercial regulations. Our supply chain for every product category is documented and traceable. We operate from a permanent physical address with a valid UAE trade licence — we are accountable for what we sell in a way that anonymous grey-market traders are not. We have maintained this standard for twenty years because our Nigerian customer relationships depend on it. A single counterfeit part reaching a customer would destroy a relationship it took years to build. We will never allow that.
What compressor brands does Al Faisal supply?
Al Faisal supplies GMCC rotary compressors (residential split and window AC, 0.5HP–3HP), Invotech YH-series scroll compressors (commercial cassette, ducted, and VRF systems, 2HP–10HP), Danfoss compressors (commercial refrigeration), Tecumseh compressors (commercial refrigeration and light commercial AC), and Kulthorn compressors (commercial refrigeration). Every compressor we export to Nigeria is T3-rated for ambient temperatures up to 52°C. We stock R22, R32, R410a, R404a, and R407c variants across our compressor range. Browse all compressors →
What refrigerant brands does Al Faisal supply?
Al Faisal supplies Westron® (our own UAE-origin brand), Maxron® (our own Korean-manufactured brand), ARKEMA Forane® (French-origin premium brand), Refron (Indian-manufactured), Fastcool, and Floron. Our recommendation for Nigerian buyers is Westron® or Maxron® — you are buying the brand owner’s own product directly, with the shortest possible supply chain and full brand accountability. Available in R22, R32, R134a, R290, R404a, R407c, R410a, R417a, R507, and R600 across all cylinder sizes from 320g cans to 20,000kg ISO tankers. See full refrigerant range →
What is T3 climate rating and why does it matter for Nigeria?
T3 is an international climate classification for AC compressors and systems rated for maximum ambient temperatures up to 52°C. T1-rated compressors (the global standard for European and North American markets) are only rated to 43°C. Nigeria regularly reaches 45–52°C ambient outdoor temperature — meaning T1 compressors installed in Nigeria are permanently operating beyond their design limit, causing early winding failure, bearing wear, and compressor burnout. Every compressor Al Faisal exports to Nigeria is T3-rated — this is a non-negotiable technical requirement that we have applied consistently since 2005. Many Dubai traders sell T1 compressors to Nigeria without disclosing the rating. Al Faisal never does. Read the full T3 vs T1 guide →
Does Al Faisal supply spare parts for my specific AC brand and model?
Al Faisal supplies spare parts for all major AC brands installed across Nigeria — LG, Samsung, Daikin, Carrier, Panasonic, Hitachi, Toshiba, Fujitsu, O General, Midea, Gree, Haier, Hisense, York, Voltas, Lloyd, Blue Star, Sharp, Sanyo, and more. For model-specific parts such as PCB boards and fan motors, send us the brand name, full model number, and whether it is the indoor or outdoor unit — ideally with a photo of the nameplate. We will confirm availability and quote within 24 hours.
How do I know if a compressor from another Dubai supplier is T1 or T3?
Ask the supplier directly — “Is this compressor T3-rated for tropical climates up to 52°C?” If they cannot confirm T3 in writing on the Pro Forma Invoice, assume it is T1. You can also check the compressor nameplate or data sheet — T3 (or “T3 Climate” or “Tropical Class T3”) should be stated. If the nameplate shows only “T1” or no climate rating, it is not suitable for Nigerian installation. Al Faisal confirms T3 rating on every compressor we supply to Nigeria — it appears on our invoices and on the compressor data plate. How to spot fake and substandard parts →
What compressor oil should I use with the compressors Al Faisal supplies?
Oil type is determined by refrigerant type — not compressor brand. Use POE oil with all R410a, R32, R407c, and R404a systems. Use mineral oil or Alkylbenzene oil with R22 systems. Use PAG oil with automotive R134a systems. Never mix POE and mineral oil in the same system — the resulting contamination damages compressor internals regardless of T3 rating. Al Faisal stocks the correct oil type for every compressor we supply. Browse lubricants →
Ordering, Pricing & Payment
How do I place an order with Al Faisal from Nigeria?
Send your parts list to Al Faisal via WhatsApp (+971 55 874 7919) or the contact form on our website. Include product names, specifications, and quantities. For compressors, include the brand, model number, HP rating, and refrigerant type. We confirm stock availability, issue a Pro Forma Invoice within 24 hours, and proceed to payment and freight booking once you confirm. Full process detailed at: How to Order & Shipping →
What is the minimum order quantity?
There is no fixed minimum order quantity. Al Faisal supplies single urgent compressors by air freight for emergency repairs and full container loads by sea freight for large importers. For sea freight, a practical minimum is a consolidated order that makes the LCL (Less than Container Load) freight cost efficient — typically the equivalent of USD 500–1,000 in product value and above, though we encourage you to contact us and we will advise based on your specific list.
What currency does Al Faisal invoice in and how do I pay?
All Al Faisal invoices are issued in USD (United States Dollars). Payment is by bank transfer (Telegraphic Transfer / T/T) to Al Faisal’s UAE commercial bank account. Full bank details are provided on the Pro Forma Invoice. Full payment is required before packing and freight booking. Your Nigerian bank converts NGN to USD at the prevailing exchange rate. International bank transfers from Nigeria to the UAE typically clear in 1–3 working days — send us the transfer reference number immediately after payment to speed up processing.
Do you offer credit terms or payment after delivery?
Al Faisal operates on full payment before shipment for export orders. This is standard practice for Dubai-to-Nigeria international trade and protects both parties. As a business relationship develops over multiple consistent orders, we can discuss payment structures on a case-by-case basis for established long-term wholesale customers. Contact us to discuss if this is relevant to your operation.
Can I mix different product types in one order?
Yes — and this is one of the key advantages of sourcing from Al Faisal. You can combine compressors, refrigerant cylinders, copper coils, capacitors, fan motors, PCB boards, remote controls, brackets, HVAC tools, and lubricants in a single consolidated shipment. One invoice, one freight booking, one Nigerian customs clearance. Consolidated ordering significantly reduces your per-unit landed cost.
What are typical wholesale prices for compressors and refrigerants?
Prices vary by specification, quantity, and market conditions — contact Al Faisal for a firm current quote for your exact requirements. As a guide, 2026 indicative export price ranges ex-Dubai are: GMCC rotary 1HP R410a/R32: USD 55–80 · 1.5HP: USD 70–100 · 2HP: USD 95–135 · R22 range 1–2.5HP: USD 60–140 · Invotech scroll 2–5HP R410a: USD 180–420 · R22 13.6kg cylinder: USD 45–70 · R410a 11.3kg cylinder: USD 50–75 · R32 11.3kg: USD 55–80 · R134a 13.6kg: USD 50–72 · Skycap capacitors: USD 2–12/unit · Copper coil NWM/Sigma: USD 18–55/roll. Full 2026 price guide →
What if a product I need is out of stock?
Al Faisal checks all stock availability before issuing a Pro Forma Invoice — we do not confirm orders for items we cannot fulfil. If a specific item is temporarily out of stock, we inform you at the quotation stage and advise on restocking lead time or recommend a verified equivalent alternative. We will never substitute a product without your explicit approval.
Shipping, Freight & Transit Times
How long does shipping from Dubai to Nigeria take?
Sea freight: 10–16 days from Jebel Ali (Dubai) to Apapa / Tin Can Island (Lagos) or Onne Port (Rivers State). Air freight: 3–5 days from Dubai International Airport to Murtala Muhammed Airport (Lagos) or Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport (Abuja). A complete sea freight cycle from first enquiry to goods in your hands in Nigeria typically takes 18–25 days including quotation, payment, packing, transit, and customs clearance.
Which Nigerian ports does Al Faisal ship to?
Sea freight: Apapa Port (Lagos), Tin Can Island Port (Lagos), and Onne Port (Rivers State / Port Harcourt). Air freight: Murtala Muhammed International Airport (Lagos) and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (Abuja). If you prefer a different port or airport, contact us and we will check routing options.
What is the difference between sea freight and air freight — which should I use?
Sea freight is 5–8x cheaper per kg than air freight and is the correct choice for all bulk and quarterly restocking orders — compressors, pallets of refrigerant cylinders, copper coil rolls, capacitor cases, and any order where volume justifies the freight cost. Transit is 10–16 days. Air freight is significantly more expensive but delivers in 3–5 days — use it only for single urgent parts where the cost of waiting 10–16 days exceeds the air freight premium. Never ship bulk orders by air freight. Full shipping guide →
What shipping documents does Al Faisal provide?
Al Faisal provides the complete set of export documents required for Nigerian customs clearance: Commercial Invoice (itemised, on company letterhead with UAE trade licence reference) · Packing List (per-carton weight and contents) · Certificate of Origin (UAE-issued, arranged through Dubai Chamber of Commerce) · Bill of Lading (sea freight) or Airway Bill (air freight) · MSDS sheets (for refrigerant cylinders and any hazardous goods). All documents are sent to you digitally as soon as they are ready.
Can I ship refrigerant cylinders from Dubai to Nigeria?
Yes. Refrigerant cylinders are classified as hazardous goods under IMDG regulations (sea freight) and IATA DGR (air freight). Al Faisal handles all hazardous goods classification, compliant packaging, and MSDS documentation for every refrigerant shipment. We have been exporting refrigerant cylinders to Nigeria by sea freight since 2005 — this is a routine part of our Nigeria export operation.
How much does sea freight from Dubai to Nigeria cost?
LCL (Less than Container Load) sea freight from Jebel Ali to Lagos typically costs approximately USD 3–6 per CBM/kg depending on current shipping rates, cargo type, and freight forwarder. Al Faisal includes estimated freight costs in the Pro Forma Invoice so you see the full landed cost before committing. Air freight to Lagos or Abuja is approximately USD 5–9 per kg depending on cargo type and volume.
Nigerian Customs & Import
Do I need a customs clearing agent in Nigeria?
Yes — we strongly recommend using a licensed Nigerian customs clearing agent at your port or airport of arrival. Al Faisal provides all required export documentation and your clearing agent processes the Nigerian customs declaration from there. If you need a referral to trusted clearing agents at Apapa or Onne port with a track record on HVAC spare parts imports, contact Al Faisal on WhatsApp and we will assist.
What are the HS codes for HVAC spare parts imported into Nigeria?
Key HS codes for HVAC spare parts: Compressors 8414.30 · Refrigerants 2903.xx · Copper pipe 7411.10 · Capacitors 8532.xx · PCB control boards 8537.xx · Fan motors 8501.xx · Remote controls 8543.xx · AC brackets / metal fixtures 7326.xx. Your licensed clearing agent will apply the correct HS code and calculate the applicable import duty. Al Faisal’s commercial invoice includes product descriptions compatible with these classifications.
Do HVAC spare parts require NAFDAC or SON certification to import into Nigeria?
Standard HVAC spare parts — compressors, capacitors, copper pipe, fan motors, remote controls, AC brackets, and HVAC tools — do not require NAFDAC or SON certification for import into Nigeria under standard commercial import procedures. Refrigerant cylinders require MSDS documentation which Al Faisal provides. For any certification requirement specific to your state or port clearance procedure, your licensed clearing agent is the correct authority to advise.
Are there any import restrictions on R22 refrigerant in Nigeria?
R22 is an HCFC refrigerant subject to phase-out obligations under the Montreal Protocol, which Nigeria is a signatory to. Import quota controls apply. Al Faisal supplies genuine certified R22 (Westron® and Maxron® branded) and provides correct documentation. For current R22 import quota status and procedure, your licensed Nigerian clearing agent and the Federal Ministry of Environment’s Ozone Office are the correct authorities to consult before placing a large R22 order.
Wholesale Supply & Long-Term Partnership
How does Al Faisal’s wholesale pricing work for Nigerian dealers?
Wholesale pricing applies from your very first order — there is no retail tier for new customers and no membership fee. Additional volume discounts apply on orders above quantity thresholds for compressors, refrigerant cylinders, copper coil rolls, and capacitor cases. Nigerian dealers who commit to a regular quarterly sea freight restocking cycle consistently receive our best pricing. All invoices are in USD with transparent line-item pricing and no hidden add-ons on the Dubai side. Full wholesale guide →
What is the recommended import cycle for Nigerian spare parts dealers?
A quarterly consolidated sea freight cycle is the most cost-effective and operationally predictable approach for most Nigerian dealers — one bulk consolidated order every three months covering core stock items (compressors, refrigerant cylinders, copper coils, capacitors), supplemented by air freight for urgent single parts between cycles. This pattern minimises per-unit freight cost on bulk items while maintaining flexibility for emergency jobs. Most Nigerian dealers settle into this rhythm after their first two orders.
I want to become an Al Faisal exclusive distributor for Westron® or Maxron® in Nigeria. Is this possible?
Al Faisal is actively interested in establishing strong Nigerian distribution partnerships for Westron® and Maxron® refrigerants. If you are a Nigerian refrigerant wholesaler or distributor with an established customer network and the capacity to import at meaningful volume, we want to hear from you. Contact us on WhatsApp with a brief introduction covering your business, location, existing customer base, and approximate import capacity. We will respond with a serious conversation about how a formal distribution partnership could work.
Can Al Faisal provide a standing price list for regular Nigerian wholesale customers?
Yes — regular wholesale customers can request a standing price list for their core product categories. Prices are reviewed periodically to reflect market conditions and we inform you of any changes before they affect your orders. Contact Al Faisal via WhatsApp with your business details and regular product categories to request your standing price list.
First-Time Importers from Nigeria
I have never imported from Dubai before. Is this process complicated?
The process is straightforward with the right guidance — and Al Faisal has guided many Nigerian first-time Dubai importers through their first shipment. On our side, we handle stock, pricing, packing, all export documentation, and freight booking. On your side, you need a Nigerian bank that can process USD international transfers and a licensed clearing agent at your arrival port or airport. We walk you through every step from Pro Forma Invoice to delivery. Tell us on WhatsApp that it is your first import — we will make sure nothing is left unexplained.
How do I send USD from my Nigerian bank to Dubai?
International USD transfers from Nigeria to the UAE are processed through your Nigerian commercial bank’s trade finance or international transfers desk. You will need Al Faisal’s UAE bank account details (provided on the Pro Forma Invoice), the invoice amount in USD, and a valid purpose of payment code (import of goods). Most major Nigerian banks — GTBank, Access Bank, Zenith, UBA, First Bank, Sterling — process international T/T transfers. Your bank will convert NGN to USD at the prevailing exchange rate. Allow 1–3 working days for the transfer to clear in our UAE account.
How do I find a reliable clearing agent in Nigeria for my first shipment?
Contact Al Faisal on WhatsApp and ask for a referral — we can introduce you to clearing agents at Apapa and Onne port that our Nigerian customers have used successfully for HVAC spare parts imports. A good clearing agent will handle your customs declaration, pay applicable import duties on your behalf, and arrange delivery from port to your Nigerian address. Their fee is typically charged per consignment and is separate from Al Faisal’s invoice.
How do I know Al Faisal is a legitimate business and not a scam?
Al Faisal A/C Spare Parts Trading LLC has operated from the same permanent physical address in Deira, Dubai since 2005 — over two decades of continuous operation at Shop No S03B, Al Wasl Building R407, Street 23, Al Maktoum Hospital Road, Deira – Al Rigga, Dubai. We hold a valid UAE trade licence and operate under UAE commercial law. Our shop is listed on Google Maps with customer reviews and photos. Nigerian traders who visit Dubai regularly can visit our shop in person. Our landline (04 2340 337) connects to our Deira office. We have no incentive to operate as anything other than a legitimate long-term business — our Nigerian customer relationships, some of which span fifteen years or more, are our most valuable commercial asset.
Specific Product Questions
What size compressor does my Nigerian split AC need?
Compressor HP must match the AC unit’s rated capacity: 1HP = approximately 9,000 BTU (0.75 ton) · 1.5HP = approximately 12,000–14,000 BTU (1–1.2 ton) · 2HP = approximately 18,000 BTU (1.5 ton) · 2.5HP = approximately 21,000–24,000 BTU (1.75–2 ton). Always verify against the outdoor unit nameplate — the rated HP and BTU are printed on the data plate. Never upsize a compressor beyond the original specification — the system expansion valve, evaporator, and electrical capacity are all matched to the original compressor rating. Send us a photo of the nameplate and we will confirm the correct replacement.
How do I know which capacitor rating to order for my AC unit?
The capacitor rating (µF and voltage) is printed on the old capacitor body. For a dual/combined run capacitor, two values are shown — for example “35µF + 5µF / 450V” means 35µF for the compressor and 5µF for the fan motor at 450V. Always replace with the exact same rating — never substitute a different µF value. If the old capacitor is damaged beyond reading, check the outdoor unit wiring diagram (usually pasted inside the unit casing) or send us the AC brand and model number and we will advise the correct rating.
Can I use R410a refrigerant in an older R22 system?
No — R410a and R22 are not interchangeable. R410a operates at significantly higher pressure than R22 and requires POE oil instead of mineral oil. Charging an R22 system with R410a will cause seal failure, compressor damage, and potentially dangerous overpressure. An R22 system must be charged with R22 or a certified R22 drop-in replacement such as R417a. If you are considering converting a system from R22 to R410a, this requires a complete compressor and expansion valve replacement, full system flush, and recharge — it is not a simple refrigerant swap.
Does Al Faisal supply inverter AC compressors for Nigeria?
Yes — Al Faisal supplies T3-rated inverter compressors for Nigerian inverter split AC systems. Inverter compressors operate at variable speed and have different electrical specifications from fixed-speed rotary compressors. Provide the AC brand, model number, HP rating, and refrigerant type (typically R32 or R410a for modern inverter systems) and we will source the correct T3-rated inverter compressor. Does Al Faisal supply car AC spare parts and R134a for Nigeria?
Yes — Al Faisal supplies R134a refrigerant (Westron® and Maxron® certified), PAG compressor oil, and automotive AC compressors for the Nigerian vehicle market. R134a is the standard refrigerant for virtually every car on Nigerian roads. We supply from single cylinders to ISO tanker quantities for large automotive workshops and fleet operators.
